Thanks to those of you who were able to join us for our 1st annual #HolidayPitch event. It was a wonderful night and we enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. Events like these require the mastering of a bunch of details and more than a little elbow grease. A successful event requires a team to develop a workable plan, think of as many details as possible in advance, promote, promote, promote and then on the day of the event, do whatever it takes to make the event run smoothly.
So I’d like to recognize some of the people and organizations who made this event happen, and encourage you to bring some of your future business their way:
Katia Garcon of House of Katia, an awesome place for women’s dresses, watches and jewelry. Katia came up with so many of our ideas for the event, from graphics to promotion, to running the front desk with a great “squad.” She has great style, great ideas and really cares about the local community.
Thanks to our awesome Beer and Wine sponsor, BevMax. Their investment in this event was essential. Please visit the Norwalk BevMax at 149 Westport Ave, Norwalk for your holiday libation needs.
Thanks to the members of the Fairfield County Food Forum (led by Will Dagostino of Nutshell bars) for providing us delicious dinner and dessert. When the Food Forum heard about our idea to create a fundraiser/pitch night that featured their food, they rolled up their sleeves and helped us create a fantastic plan to feed the community with tasty, nutritious food — at a budget that allowed us to reserve money for our charities and our pitch contest awardees. Factory Underground is an awesome facility and we are proud to call them a partner. Thanks to Ethan Isaac, Marc Alan, Tom and Amanda who figured out a solution to every problem. We just love the vibe at Factory Underground and recommend it for any event, audio or video project.
Charlie Brilliance is a Norwalk-based party planner. Charlie figured out how to add just the right amount of holiday flair to the venue.
Chantel Anderson (AKA Bar Juicy) was our bartender. She is another great problem solver and brings a fun attitude to the party. You can find her info here.
DJ Juelz brought the right musical ambiance to the event. We love having music during the party and in between the presentations. Find him here.
Sharon Arena helped us with the event promotion. Find her info here.
Thanks again to all our great partners, and to those of you who were able to attend. We hope you had as good a time as we had putting the event together and we hope you have a fantastic holiday season.
